PE and Sport Premium Funding 2017/18

Our school has established a positive attitude towards PE, school sport and exercise.  Pupils are given lots of opportunities to try new activities, with a strong emphasis on participation and enjoyment.

PE lessons are aimed at developing core skills that can be transferred into individual and team sports, including skills that link to pupils’ personal, social and emotional development, such as team-work, problem-solving and resilience.

In the academic year 2017-18, the school anticipates an allocation of £17,129 in PE and School Sports Funding.  It is our intention to use this to provide a range of CPD to support teachers in providing high quality teaching and learning experiences for all pupils.  We also intend to increase access to a broader range of curricular and extra-curricular events to promote physical activity and school sports.  We also plan to engage more children in participating in sport festivals and competitions.
