Governors
The Governing Body at Colburn Community Primary School is made up of volunteers who are passionate about ensuring that each and every child in Colburn gets the very best possible start and is given the opportunities to achieve their full potential. Governors also help to provide a safe and caring environment in which every child can enjoy building happy memories.
The role of the Governing Body is to provide strategic management and to act as a 'critical friend', supporting the work of the Head Teacher and other staff.
The Governing Body meet monthly to rigorously review the school’s progress in meeting its aims and vision.

The Governing Body has some discretion as to how to discharge its responsibilities but is required to constitute itself in line with the regulations and to appoint a chair and vice chair our governing body was reconstituted in line with national regulations in April 2015.
