The Governing Body at Colburn Community Primary School is made up of volunteers who are passionate about ensuring that each and every child in Colburn gets the very best possible start and is given the opportunities to achieve their full potential. Governors also help to provide a safe and caring environment in which every child can enjoy building happy memories.
The role of the Governing Body is to provide strategic management and to act as a 'critical friend', supporting the work of the Head Teacher and other staff. The Governing Body has a programme of meetings that are scheduled throughout the academic year. These meetings each take a different focus (school improvement, financial management etc), as the Governing Body does not operate with a committee structure. There are currently no associate members.
