Uniform

Uniform

Uniform is an important part of a school’s identity. It reinforces who we are as a community and helps pupils feel pride in their school. It also helps prepare pupils for life after school where many will have to dress smartly for work.

We ask that all uniform is clearly labelled so any misplaced items can be returned to the right children.

Uniform list

Uniform:

  • Y5 & Y6 ONLY - Black sweatshirt or cardigan
  • Nursery - Y4 Red sweatshirt or cardigan
  • Red or white polo shirts
  • Red checked summer dress or pinafores
  • Black or grey trousers, formal shorts or skirts
  • Suitable school shoes (preferably black or a dark colour)
  • Wellies

PE/After-school sports club uniform:

  • White t-shirt
  • Black shorts
  • Dark tracksuit bottoms
  • Dark hoodie/sweatshirt
  • Trainers
  • Must be in a suitable PE bag

Forest School:

  • We do not expect children to wear school uniform for Forest School.
  • On their dedicated day, they can dress in clothes which you don’t mind them getting dirty.
  • You should have the dates of Forest School on your curriculum letters but we will also send a text the day before.

Swimming:

  • Swimming costume (no bikinis or tankinis)
  • Swimming trunks; short-like trunks are best (we discourage long swimming trunks as they impede pupils' ability to swim well)
  • Bath-size towel

    Coat:

Try to make sure that these are water proof and warm enough for your children so they don’t get cold and wet during play time. From October to April, children must bring a coat to school.

    Jewellery, make-up or nail varnish

Jewellery, make-up or nail varnish must not be worn for school. Items of jewellery which are not in line with the policy will be taken off of the children and given back to them at the end of the day. If ears are already pierced, small, plain gold or silver-coloured studs (no jewels) may be worn in each ear lobe. No other body-piercing is allowed, e.g. nose studs, tongue studs or other ear piercings. All studs should be removed for PE, games and swimming.

    Hair

Shoulder length hair must be tied up at all times.
